The Tempio Pausania Public Prosecutor's Office is prosecuting Davide Carta, 58, a chemical engineer and Democratic Party representative on the Cagliari City Council, for a fatal accident that occurred on August 12 of this year on Provincial Road 90 (the Castelsardo-Santa Teresa route), near Trinità d'Agultu.

Prosecutor Milena Aucone has ordered a dynamic investigation to reconstruct the head-on collision that killed Andreana Demuro (a 58-year-old housewife from Trinità). The investigation, entrusted to consultant Giovanni Battista Lippi, will begin at the end of September with technical assessments of the seized vehicles and on-site inspections in the Lu Falzaggiu area.

The victim was traveling in her Renault Clio when, for reasons yet to be clarified, she collided with Carta's Mazda SUV. The impact was particularly violent, and there was nothing that could be done for Andreana Demuro, a mother of three. Carta was also rescued by emergency personnel, but fortunately, the injuries to the SUV driver were not serious.

The Tempio Prosecutor's Office is considering vehicular homicide. Carta is being represented by lawyer Carlo Amat of San Filippo, and the victim's family is being represented by lawyer Bruno Cuccu.

According to rumors, Davide Carta wrote a letter to the victim's family.
