A big celebration in Cagliari for Antonietta Camba, the new centenarian.

Born in Teulada on June 12, 1926, but a longtime resident of the capital, on Viale Poetto, she herself describes hers as "a life overlooking the sea." But that's not all: after attending medical school, where she met Giovanni Fulghesu, who would later become her husband, she worked first as a pediatrician and then as a neuropsychiatrist, including a child psychiatrist, before dedicating her last 30 years to psychoanalysis. A life spent, therefore, also serving her patients, as she practiced the profession until ten years ago.

With two children and four grandchildren, Dr. Camba received the best wishes of the municipal administration of Teulada, led by Mayor Angelo Milia, and that of Cagliari, led by Marco Benucci: "Dr. Antonietta's life is one of dedication and passion for a complex profession," emphasized the president of the municipal council, "an example, especially considering that until a few decades ago, few women were at the forefront of the medical field."
