Restaurants, taverns, pubs, and bars: the Cagliari City Council has severely revoked the concessions granted to numerous establishments in the city center. Cross-checks with the tax office have revealed that they are not up to date with tax payments.

Osteria Kobuta on Vico Carlo Felice has lost its ability to have outdoor tables and chairs. According to the Department of Productive Activities, the restaurant has defaulted on its Tari (waste tax) payments for several years.

More general, but equally serious in its consequences, with the immediate withdrawal of the concession, is the reasoning regarding other activities. The decisions issued within a few hours are all identical.

It states that "following checks carried out at the Budget, Taxes and Tax Litigation Service - Tax Office, it was found that the company has a debt position": this applies to Caffè dell'Angolo on Via Pergolesi, Derò on Via Napoli, Eva Coffee bar on Via Pergolesi, Merlo on Via Portoscalas, Nasip di cucina Khyrghysa on Via Napoli, Pani e Casu at the bastione di Santa Croce, and Roja on Via Baylle.

Meanwhile, the fine imposed on Dry Hop in Santa Chiara has been annulled: the Tari (waste tax) had been paid , but the notification hadn't been sent to the Municipality, which had also cancelled the concession. Now everything is in order.

"As Confcommercio, we continue to provide ongoing support to all our members," says Emanuele Frongia, president of Fipe Sud Sardegna. "In several cases, we have been among the first to inform and raise awareness among companies regarding compliance requirements, even where some communications may not have been fully implemented or, for various reasons, may have been overlooked."

This is a situation, Frongia explains, "that we've already highlighted and which now presents itself forcefully. We hope that we can achieve the most balanced management possible, taking into account both the need to enforce the rules and the actual conditions of businesses. We hope that in the future, we can also open a broader discussion on the cost of the Tari (waste tax), which represents a significant burden for businesses in the sector, with the goal of finding sustainable solutions for everyone."
