The Carabinieri arrive and attempt to flush the crime evidence down the toilet: the "classic" movie scene took place last night in a B&B room in Castello, Cagliari. The raid led to one arrest (a thirty-year-old from Cagliari) and two charges (against a forty-year-old from Iglesias and a twenty-five-year-old from Assemini).

Carabinieri from the Stampace station worked with colleagues from the operations section and the stations in Assemini, Pirri, and Iglesias. The operation began following a request for assistance from the owner of the accommodation. Upon arrival, the officers surprised the three men inside one of the rooms. Upon seeing their uniforms, the group clumsily attempted to dispose of a package, attempting to pour its contents into the bathroom fixtures. The attempt was unsuccessful: approximately 63 grams of cocaine, 67 grams of cutting agent, and packaging materials were recovered.

But it didn't end there: searches were carried out at the homes of the three, and the most alarming element emerged in that of the thirty-year-old: hidden in the apartment was a .22 caliber pistol with its serial number erased, loaded, with three rounds inserted in the cylinder and ready for use.

After reconstructing the incident, the thirty-year-old was handcuffed for possession of a concealed weapon and possession of narcotics with intent to distribute and, after completing the formal procedures, was taken to Uta. The two accomplices found with him in the room were reported at large for complicity in the drug possession offense.
