Anti-drug operation by the Flying Squad in the Mulinu Becciu neighbourhood of Cagliari , where yesterday morning a raid was carried out inside the home of a twenty-year-old , who had been under observation by investigators for days.

The young man was in fact being monitored by the "Falchi" of the Flying Squad, who had noticed a suspicious and constant coming and going of people, believed to be likely drug dealing activity . The evidence gathered during the observation operations then led the officers to search his house.

At dawn, the police entered the apartment and surprised the young man inside. During the operation, they found and seized approximately 140 grams of marijuana and 270 grams of hashish, stored in vacuum-sealed bags and airtight containers. A fully functional vacuum packing machine was also found in the home, as well as precision scales and other materials used to package the doses.

The officers also discovered two handwritten sheets of paper with names and contact details believed to be directly linked to the illegal activity.

The young man, with no criminal record, was arrested and placed at the disposal of the judicial authorities. At the subsequent fast-track hearing, he was ordered to sign in.
