The 2.4 kilos of cocaine seized from a 70-year-old man from Pula , already known to law enforcement, during Operation Alto Impatto, conducted by the Cagliari Police Flying Squad and coordinated by the SCO, could have yielded 150,000 euros. The operation led to the arrest of 11 people and the confiscation of a total of 11 kilos of narcotics in Cagliari and its hinterland.

The cocaine—some of it already packaged in doses—was also discovered with the help of Abbasanta's canine units inside a locked cabinet in a utility room he owned.

According to investigators, the drugs were most likely intended for sale during the Christmas and New Year holidays .

The same applies to the other substances seized during police raids in the capital: the dangerous white heroin was found in a drug dealing center on Via Seruci , where three people were arrested—two women and a man—for possession of numerous doses, which they also attempted to flush down the sewer when police arrived. The same was true in the locations where other arrests were made for possession of heroin, cocaine, and hashish: in Stampace, Mulinu Becciu, Selargius, and Quartucciu.

In total, as mentioned, eleven people ended up in the police net, along with 11 kilos of illicit substances and €75,000 in cash. "An impressive amount of money," investigators emphasize, "which, given the amount and method of storage, suggests a well-structured business with deep roots in the local area."
