Cagliari has a new centenary . Elena Mannu has blown out 100 candles .

With the new goal achieved , the city is confirmed as one of the longest-lived in Italy . Mrs. Mannu, who celebrated her century of life among the affection of her large family, received greetings , a commemorative medal and a souvenir parchment from the municipal administration.

Today teacher Elena , after dedicating her life to teaching , enjoys a well-deserved rest, the affection of her six children Maria Antonietta, Gianna, Donatella, Federico, Angela and Cristina and that of her grandchildren. Her working career has taken her around the Island . The beginning in Tonara , then the chair in Ussassai , Laconi , Lanusei , Quartu Sant'Elena and Pirri , up to Cagliari .
