Cagliari, after 4 years the multi-storey car park in via Cesare Battisti reopens: more than 200 parking spaces
Mayor Zedda: «This is how we give some breathing space to the city traffic». A plan for additional parking spaces is readyAfter four years, the multi-storey car park on Via Cesare Battisti in Cagliari has been reopened to the public. The structure, managed by Parkar, has 200 parking spaces . This innovation, as explained by Mayor Massimo Zedda, will give "further breathing space to the city's traffic flow".
But the “good news” doesn’t end there: «Together with Parkar and CTM, we will provide for the opening, in structures, of additional parking lots in the city and the adoption of parking policies, together with concessions for the use of public transport». The mayor’s plan refers to «the 50 parking spaces in the private buildings of via de Magistris, the multi-storey car park in piazza Nazzari, the regional-owned car parks in viale Trieste».
"On other issues regarding traffic - continues Zedda - discussions are open with the Railways for the development of the intermodal center, with Ersu for additional parking inside the Student House on Viale La Playa. We are also working to restore bus line 7, with the elimination of the scaffolding that obstructs the passage in Via Lamarmora, in Castello".
