She defended a delivery driver who was being attacked "without having done anything" : for this reason RP, a woman from Cagliari, was in turn kicked and punched in the face, after being knocked to the ground . The incident occurred yesterday in Cagliari , in Piazza Yenne , before the eyes of several witnesses. A scene of sudden and brutal violence, which could have had far more serious consequences.

The woman intervened after witnessing the attack on a young delivery driver. Her attempt to stop the violence and calm things down, however, quickly turned into a nightmare: the attacker turned her fury on her, repeatedly striking her until she fell to the ground. She was then rushed to the hospital for treatment and checks.

"I escaped with a split lip, a bruised cheekbone , and widespread back pain. I have to say I was very lucky," she shared on social media, "and I think of that boy: if no one had intervened, who knows what he could have gone through. I'm saddened and worried that more and more often we are targeting the weakest, but today we did our fair share." At the hospital, while she was waiting for a CT scan, numerous messages of solidarity arrived. Among them was that of the Afghan delivery driver she had defended: visibly shaken, with tears in his eyes, he asked her how she was. " I think of him and of the many young people who suffer in silence, without anyone helping them. What terrible times we are living in ," she concluded bitterly.
