Over a thousand euros worth of clothes stolen from a shop in Viale Monastir, Cagliari , and hidden in a shielded bag in order to evade anti-shoplifting .
A Romanian homeless man was arrested red-handed by the Carabinieri of the Cagliari Radiomobile Section, who arrived on the scene after the theft was reported to 112. Despite the "trick" to evade the anti-shoplifting system, in fact, the man had been seen by the store staff while he and two accomplices hid the items of clothing in the bag.
Upon the arrival of the military, the man was immediately stopped. The goods found, worth 1,050 euros , were returned to the shop and the arrested man was taken to the security cells of the Carabinieri command of the Cagliari-Villanova station, where he spent the night awaiting trial with a direct trial.
The Carabinieri also linked him to a similar theft that occurred on January 25 in another commercial establishment, investigations are continuing to identify the accomplices.
