Cagliari, a "ZTL cheater" reported for attempting to evade traffic controls by wearing a towel over his license plate.

He attempted to enter the Villanova Limited Traffic Zone (ZTL) in Cagliari, covering his license plate with a towel to avoid being seen by cameras, but was stopped by local police. The incident occurred at the Via Bosa/Piazza Garibaldi gate.

The officers, engaged in territorial control services in the city center, identified the vehicle with the rear license plate hidden with the towel, stuck between the tailgate and the rear window.

The driver, a 49-year-old resident of the Cagliari hinterland, was fined for unauthorized entry into a restricted traffic zone and reported for concealing his license plate.
