Cagliari's Flying Squad is conducting an operation to combat residential and commercial burglaries and the receiving of stolen goods in the Stampace neighborhood.

Police investigated a pub, reported as a possible location for receiving stolen goods . There, officers located a man from Cagliari already known to law enforcement and found goods of suspicious origin.

These goods were owned by the mother of the owner of the establishment . Subsequent searches of the homes of the people involved, including the B&B where the man had established his residence , led to the recovery of further stolen goods, carefully hidden.

In light of the serious evidence of guilt, the man was placed under arrest, given the concrete risk of his escape, while the woman, found in possession of stolen goods, was arrested.

The owner of the premises, however, was reported and approximately 9,000 euros in cash were seized.

Among the numerous objects seized during the operation are dozens of watches, costume jewelry, bicycles, reproductions of ancient weapons, a historic Carabinieri uniform, priestly chalices and other valuable material , on which investigations are underway to establish their provenance.

Investigators are also analyzing the electronic devices seized from the suspects, which they believe could potentially link them to numerous thefts that have occurred in Cagliari in recent months. Investigators are also continuing their work with the goal of tracing the victims and returning the stolen property.

Measures are also being evaluated regarding the business of the premises.
