The contract is in place: Cagliari's New Year's Eve celebration will cost €400,000, plus €88,000 in VAT.
This is the amount reported in the deed signed between the Municipality and F Group Srl., the company that won the tender to organize New Year's Eve events in the capital. The event will take place not only in Piazza Yenne, where Giusy Ferreri, Mimì, and Myss Keta will perform, but also in stages and attractions at the Bastion of Santa Croce and Piazza San Giacomo.
The administration agrees to pay in three installments. The company will be responsible for "the conception, design, production, and management of the events." It will also be responsible for "contracting the artists" and "the personnel required to stage the events," and for preparing and implementing the safety and security plan. It will also be responsible for all the bureaucratic aspects related to the events, such as "the granting of any permits and/or authorizations of any kind issued by public or private authorities and the payment of the related fees."
