Real places and at the same time places of the soul, with Versilia as a point of departure and return, and the inexorable time in between: these are some of the themes touched on by the poet, translator and literary critic Diego Bertelli Lenzoni in his new collection " Results ", published this year by Edizioni Prufrock and coming to Cagliari in the new preview at the twelfth edition of the Emilio Lussu Prize Festival , organized by the cultural association L'Alambicco .

Appointment on Friday the 4th at the Hostel Marina delle Scalette in San Sepolcro, number 3 , where the author will present his work in conversation with journalist Lorella Costa . At its core is a work that questions time and its impact on people, places, loved ones, and memories, in an America that isn't just the one he physically travels through, but also an intimate geography that accompanies the author on his journey from the Versilia Riviera to his return, and in the inevitable consequences of the experience and the time spent, imprinted on his own skin as well as that of others.

The result is a collection developed around opposites that coexist without forced reconciliation : unity and the piece, masculine and feminine, real love and impossible love, broken life and accomplished death. "Results" is both a book of welcome and farewell, in a test of poetic strength against unrestrained time and its logical conclusion of passing . And it is precisely in pain that Bertelli rediscovers the joys, great and small, of human existence.

Born in Pietrasanta in 1977, Bertelli deals with contemporary poetry and translation, making his debut in 2021 with the booklet " Si lascia caduta " for " Isola " by Mariagiorgia Ulbar . He is the Italian adaptation of the graphic novel based on " The Great Gatsby " (Tunué, 2021), as well as the new version of Walt Whitman 's " Calamus ", reworked in the title " Riveerò io cosa dire di me " (Marcos y Marcos, 2023): he also edited " Tutte le poesie " (2019) for Le Lettere and the new edition of " L'osso, l'anima " (2022) by Bartolo Cattafi . The author is thus the guest of an initiative that also sees the partnership of the Municipality and the Region , in collaboration with the Sirio Giannini International Center for European Studies .
