A 32-year-old woman was arrested by Carabinieri in Cagliari for threatening a passerby with a switchblade and attacking officers.
It happened last night, around 5 a.m. The officers of the Mobile Radio Section and the San Bartolomeo Station intervened urgently in Via Santa Gilla, where a woman had just been approached and threatened with a knife by a 32-year-old woman of Colombian origins, intending to steal a bag.
The victim, however, fought back, scaring the robber away, who was later located and apprehended by the Carabinieri. During a personal search, the woman was found in possession of a 15-centimeter switchblade, which was promptly seized. During subsequent identification procedures at the police station, the woman—clearly in a state of mental and physical disturbance, possibly related to drug use—strongly resisted, kicking and pushing officers before being finally subdued.
