Shouting and punches: a heated argument in Piazza del Carmine ends with a young man being taken by 118 staff to the Santissima Trinità emergency room with a yellow code for facial trauma (from a punch). It happened last night just before midnight . The protagonists are two young immigrants.
Yesterday's incident is just the latest incident within the "red zone," where Carabinieri patrols, which began Saturday afternoon and continued until dawn yesterday, resulted in three reports, seizures of drugs sold as narcotics, and nine removals. Several patrols of the company's mobile radio unit were in action, along with colleagues from the Villanova, Stampace, and Sant'Avendrace stations.
Nearly one hundred people were identified during operations organized by provincial commander Luigi Grasso. The three charges were filed against a 56-year-old man from Cagliari, stopped after attempting to use stolen credit cards; a 28-year-old Tunisian man, who attempted to avoid a check by pushing the Carabinieri; and a 25-year-old Algerian man, who was carrying a knife. Around sixty pills were also seized from the two foreigners. Nine people, aged between 18 and 43, all foreign citizens, who were camping in the "red zone," were also removed from Piazza del Carmine and Piazza Matteotti.
