Two car burglars were reported last night after committing a theft on Viale Colombo, in Cagliari.

The Carabinieri responded to a report of suspicious activity around a parked Fiat 500X. Quickly arriving on the scene, officers noticed the damaged vehicle and immediately began a search, locating two homeless men, a 29-year-old and a 26-year-old, both unemployed, nearby.

The two, stopped for a check, were subjected to a personal search and found in possession of a portable compressor that had been removed from the car shortly before.

Once the incident had been reconstructed, the men were then escorted to the police station and reported to the Public Prosecutor's Office for the crime of aggravated theft in competition.
