He kicked and punched a peer to steal his scooter. The incident occurred at the Marina on the eve of Ferragosto. A 25-year-old Algerian man was arrested by officers from the Cagliari Police Headquarters' Flying Squad and is believed to be responsible for the robbery.

The investigation stemmed from a call to 112, during which a Somali citizen, the same age as the attacker, reported being kicked and punched in the street and that the attacker, an acquaintance, had stolen his scooter before fleeing. By analyzing the circumstances of the incident and the victim's descriptions, investigators from the Flying Squad found the scooter and identified the suspected robber, who was located in Piazza del Carmine in the early afternoon.

The suspect was taken to the police station and placed under judicial police custody on suspicion of aggravated robbery. He was then taken to Uta prison, where he will be held at the disposal of the judicial authorities.
