Punched and then robbed of his bicycle.

This is what a 48-year-old unemployed and homeless man from San Gavino Monreale said: the man was rescued on Via Sant'Alenixedda in Cagliari by some passers-by, who called the Carabinieri of the Provincial Command's Radiomobile Section.

The military quickly managed to identify the person responsible in Piazza Giovanni XXIII: a 43-year-old, unemployed and homeless man, born in Cagliari and already known to the police, still in possession of the bicycle, which was recovered and returned to its owner.

The 43-year-old was arrested for robbery and held in the Command's holding cells awaiting a fast-track trial.
