The number of people – all adults and mostly municipal employees – who went to the emergency room in Cagliari after eating tuna at a bar-restaurant in the city center, in the Via Sonnino area, during their lunch break has risen to thirteen.

This is what emerges from a survey of Cagliari's hospitals: currently , 10 people have been transported by 118 to Brotzu, while three have arrived at Santissima Trinità. Two of the latter have already left the ward.

Meanwhile, the Carabinieri of the Cagliari Provincial Command, who intervened with the support of the NAS, announced that they "carried out an inspection of the restaurant-bar involved and acquired information useful for reconstructing the incident, initiating checks on the origin and storage of the food. Investigations are ongoing to determine the precise causes of the incident."
