As always, it was a spectacle, with plenty of applause and souvenir videos. Two loggerhead sea turtles were released onto the beach at San Giovanni di Sinis , right in front of the dome that houses the Sinis-Cres Recovery Center, where they were cared for for several months in collaboration with the Duemari veterinary clinic in Oristano.

An adult turtle rescued last summer by fishermen in Tertenia after becoming entangled in plastic has returned to sea. The second turtle, also an adult, was found between Tavolara and Porto San Paolo with a fractured skull.

The event was also attended by members of the Sea Scout cooperative, which has been working for years through sport to achieve and maintain the physical and mental well-being of children with intellectual disabilities.

They were accompanied by President Riccardo La Porta: " As always, it was a special opportunity to break the kids out of their routine . The collaboration with the Cree and the CNR gives them the opportunity to put into practice various social skills, respect for rules, and commitment in completing even complex tasks."

Also in attendance were students from the three-year degree program in Marine Biotechnology at Consorzio Uno in Oristano. Elisa Mocci, head of the regional marine fauna network, and representatives from the Port Authority and the Forestry Corps were also present. Sara Pinna
