She's not in perfect shape, but tonight she'll still blow out the candles with her loved ones, always holding her rosary. Today, in Cabras, Maria Filomena Sanna, born on July 20, 1920, turned 106, becoming one of the oldest women in Sardinia. The local grandmother is also well-known on social media, where her granddaughter has long been posting videos in which Maria Filomena recounts anecdotes from her long life, always enjoying great success. "My grandmother doesn't talk as much as she used to, but tonight we won't miss a little party for her at home," says her granddaughter, Daniela Durzu. The centenarian has been a widow for some time now. She has two children: Antonio and Elena Barracaccu, with whom she has lived for years. She also has three grandchildren and a great-grandchild. "Until recently, she was still very lively. I like to point out that she has no health conditions; she only takes a pill for circulation." Maria Filomena has dedicated her life to her family. She was an excellent cook; no one in the family forgets her meatballs in tomato sauce. She also tried her hand at sewing to help her husband, who was a tailor.
