Cabras, elderly man found dead at home after days: "He was a very lonely man"

He had been dead for days in his house overlooking a small alley in via Tharros in Cabras . It was the neighbors who worried and feared the worst when they noticed the absence of the elderly man who lived alone. So they raised the alarm, then the discovery: Mauro De Sciora, 77 years old of Ligurian origin, was lifeless .

The firefighters of Oristano, after forcing the entrance door, found the body of the elderly man. All attempts at rescue were useless, the doctor could only confirm that he had been dead for several days . The Carabinieri also arrived in via Tharros for the usual checks, even if there seems to be no doubt that the death of the 77-year-old was due to natural causes , perhaps struck down by a sudden illness that left him no escape.

Despite living a reserved life, the news of his death has caused emotion in the community.
