That something is wrong can be understood from the line of people waiting outside the emergency medical clinic, in via Tharros, in Cabras. Every evening from 8pm onwards. And on Saturday and Sunday all day.

It is the effect of the retirement of Dr. Adriana Muscas who left her practice in via Custoza last April 30th. It has not yet been replaced by anyone and the result is tragic: in the lagoon town there are around 900 patients without healthcare, with all the associated inconveniences. For citizens left without a doctor it is in fact impossible to ask the other doctors present in Cabras to be taken care of. Everyone, therefore Franco Deidda, Gian Nicola Panichi, Giovanni Salaris and Maria Antonietta Dessì, exceeded the ceiling of 1500 patients. Almost all of them reached 1800.

To understand this, just go to the ATS website for choosing a family doctor, in the online portal: the words "The doctor cannot be chosen, the number of patients in charge has reached the maximum" appears. The portal shows that the Muscas patients who still do not have a new doctor are around 900. But the number is actually higher.

In fact, there are 909 citizens in Cabras who are under the age of 14, and among these, many have not had a pediatrician for months. Nothing changes by selecting the only doctor present in Riola Sardo, a town that is part of the same health district as Cabras: Simonetta Ferrari is also at an altitude of 1800. Same thing if you go in person to the ASL offices in via Carducci: the solution that has been proposed in recent days is to go to the new doctor arriving in the Oristano district, Margherita Sanna, to ask her for the "courtesy" of being taken care of.

In his clinic in Santa Giusta and in via Busachi in Oristano, long queues of people are expected in the next few days.
