The Region has recognized it as a "Major Event," both because it will showcase one of the most authentic symbols of Sardinia's gastronomic identity—mullet bottarga—and because it will succeed in deseasonalizing tourism. That, at least, is the goal. But it will also be a Festival of big numbers. Starting with the contribution from the Region itself: €150,000, in addition to the €150,000 financed by the Municipality thanks to the presence of three sponsors .

The project submitted by the municipal administration had to have a minimum value of three hundred thousand euros. The duration of the event has also been increased: three instead of two. This was also one of the rules required to receive recognition. The festival of taste will take place from Friday, September 19th to Sunday, September 21st.

The Queen of the Sinis will be entrusted to the hands of nine chefs and a pizza chef. Four local restaurateurs will serve their menus in the open-air restaurant. Ten tastings will follow the cooking demonstrations over the weekend. There will be six workshops, one of the most anticipated being the one on bottarga preparation. There will also be five musical performances.

Visitors will also be able to experience the landscape from above thanks to the Ferris wheel currently being installed in Piazza Stagno. Standing 37 meters tall, it offers a panoramic view of the entire Sinis Mountains. Tickets cost seven euros for adults, two euros less for children under ten. The installation will cost twenty thousand euros.

The bottarga will be sold by three local producers. Eighteen vendors will participate in the market fair, those who were admitted to the Festival to sell their handicrafts and food products. Four vendors were excluded from the tender published by the Municipality some time ago due to lack of requirements.

This time, the Bottarga Festival has also been presented overseas. Press conferences were held in recent days in Rome and Milan. The gold of the Sinis will be featured in approximately ten national newspapers. A Facebook page and an Instagram page have also been created for the event. Every day since September 5th, various events and all the guests have been announced with posts every three hours.
