Firefighting teams are still working to finally put out the flames that broke out in the Burgos area between Friday and Saturday.

The fire was kept under control all night and in the early hours of the morning an aircraft took off to extinguish the last remaining active fires.

The men of the Forestry Corps are in action, supported by a helicopter that took off from the Anela operational base.

Once the firefighting operations have been completed, the foresters - coordinated by the Dos of the Bono patrol - will start the reclamation of the affected area.

The affected area is the Mandronaghe area, flown over yesterday by six aircraft: two helicopters coming from the operational bases of Farcana and Anela, two Superpumas coming from the operational bases of Alà dei Sardi and Fenosu and two Canadair taken off from Olbia.
