Approximately 100 cubic meters of hazardous and non-hazardous waste were illegally dumped inside a mechanical workshop in Burcei. This is what the Carabinieri discovered during local inspections.

The area involved and the waste found were placed under precautionary seizure , with an overall estimated value of approximately 100,000 euros.

The legal representative of the business, however, has been charged at large : he faces charges of uncontrolled dumping of hazardous waste, violating regulations requiring proper management, traceability, and safety, and of failure to comply with regional regulations on waste disposal, which aim to prevent pollution of surface and groundwater through the requirement for adequate collection, treatment, and disposal systems.
