Burcei, cork oak forests and Mediterranean scrub attacked by fire

Fire in Burcei with flames attacking cork oak forests and Mediterranean scrub, even approaching a small church.

A helicopter, forest rangers, volunteers from Masise, Vab Sinnai and Nos di Quartu intervened on site. The fire was put out after several hours. The area was made safe.

The serious damage to the environment remains. The fire occurred in the Monte Idda area.
