Burcei, a path awaited for over twenty years to escape isolation

The public meeting at City Hall on the road to Maracalagonis, planned and funded for years, has been confirmed for Thursday, January 29th at 6:00 PM. Mayor Simone Monni and Metropolitan City President Massimo Zedda have invited Regional President Alessandra Todde, Environment Councilor Rosanna Laconi, the "Burcei-Sinnai-Maracalagonis-SS125 Road Committee," and the mayors of Sinnai, Barbara Pusceddu, and Maracalagonis, Francesca Fadda.
It is expected to be a public informational meeting on the process for the new road, planned and funded to lift the town from its centuries-old isolation and boost the local economy. Politicians will also be present, along with the technicians in charge of the project, with the aim of clarifying, for the benefit of the population, the timeframe and necessary steps to complete the project.
The road is funded with 47 million euros and has already been put out to tender. The first draft design was created many years ago, donated to the Municipality by publisher and entrepreneur Sergio Zuncheddu after a careful study of the area.
