Campo largo has reached an agreement on increasing the single fund for local authorities by one hundred million euros .
The resources – according to what emerged at the end of a majority group leaders meeting before the Chamber – will be found by tapping into the first tranche of 570 million obtained by Sardinia thanks to the revenue dispute: 90 million will come from this ; to cover the remaining ten million, some spending commitments of the departments already planned in the Budget will be postponed.
This morning, all the group leaders and the Budget Councillor, Giuseppe Meloni , spoke during the general discussion. Regarding the intervention for local authorities, Roberto Deriu (Democratic Party) spoke of "a turning point in the relationship between the Region and local authorities. Today begins a new phase, and this is the heart of this budget."
According to Paolo Truzzu (FdI), "the center-left and the Five Star Movement have failed to even advance their historic battles. The budget contains no proposals for development policies . The increase in the single fund is the only good thing, but it wasn't in the budget; in any case, it's not a solution unless we embark on a reform process." Meloni, for her part, emphasized that "this bill was the best that could be implemented, given the very difficult conditions." And regarding the single fund, which will reach nearly €700 million: "This is the first time such a significant amount has been allocated for three years."
Finally, the Chamber voted to move on to the articles. Over seven thousand amendments were submitted, which will be discussed in the Budget Committee on Monday: 5,200 of them from FdI alone. The Chamber will meet next Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. to consider the articles.
