"I was with three friends on the wall of the Sant'Eulalia steps. The group of ten boys approached me: they surrounded me with a threatening attitude. One asked me for a cigarette. Being afraid of being attacked, I offered him the electronic one. He first took it, then annoyed, asked me if I considered him a beggar and violently pushed it against my face . I didn't say anything to avoid giving excuses to attack me but it was no use".
These are the words of one of the young victims of the "gang" that last March beat up three boys in Marina, Cagliari, robbing one of them and devastating a club.
From the reports made to the investigators of the Flying Squad, who two days ago executed the precautionary custody orders against three members of the group (one, Gabriele Congera , 18 years old, ended up in prison while Riccardo Orrù , 19, and Andrea Cabras , 19, are under house arrest), the gratuitous violence of the gang emerges (there were also some minors).
Congera was questioned yesterday: defended by lawyers Giovanni Pala and Francesco Angioni, he availed himself of the right to remain silent.
The judge confirmed the pretrial detention in prison. The lawyers will evaluate later a possible request for a mitigation of the measure.
