While walking his little daughter home, he was brutally kicked and punched in the street . The attack, for reasons to be clarified, took place in Villanovafranca . The victim is a 47-year-old local, disabled civilian.

He was in the company of his daughter in via Frassati when a 44-year-old resident of the village attacked him . The carabinieri intervened on the spot and reported the 44-year-old on the loose for aggravated personal injuries . The wounded man, on the other hand, was rescued by 118 and taken to the Brotzu hospital in Cagliari: he suffered a multi- contusive trauma and was assigned a 30-day prognosis.

The military has launched an investigation to clarify the reasons for what happened.
