Careful and humanized environments promote the psychophysical well-being of hospital patients. Making the neonatology and obstetrics departments and waiting rooms of the Brotzu hospital more welcoming is the aim of the project “The colours of life”, for which Valentina Pisano, neonatologist of the simple departmental neonatology structure of the Brotzu, is responsible.

The artist Giorgio Casu will create two paintings: “The Tree of Life” and “The Lush Forest”. The first will be done in neonatology, next to the nursery, the second instead near the obstetrics clinics. The two works will probably be inaugurated before Christmas.

The project was presented this afternoon at a press conference in the Atza room of the San Michele hospital. "Humanization of care is our motto," says Pisano, "the tree of life and the lush forest are evocative images of a birth point and of a life that grows."

To make this project possible, the Team Solidale Odv association created a calendar for which, among others, the Scuderia Ferrari Club team of Sassari, the motorcyclist group Gli Svalvolati, the neonatology and obstetrics staff of Brotzu, the Consulta delle donne of Assemini and others posed. The proceeds will go to finance the initiative.

«We immediately accepted the proposal that came to us from Brotzu, so we decided to dedicate the fourth edition of our “Solidarity Calendar” to this cause», says Mauro Caria, president of Team Solidale.
