The regional Civil Protection Department has issued a weather alert starting at 9:00 a.m. on December 26. The yellow alert for hydrogeological risk will remain in effect throughout the day and will affect the eastern part of the island. Rain is forecast to fall across the rest of the region, but the heaviest rainfall, including thunderstorms, will affect the eastern sector .
Rain is also forecast in Sardinia for Saturday, December 27th.
The coasts will be exposed to strong winds from the southeast.
