The funeral of Don Paolino Fancello will be held on Wednesday, March 11, at 11:00 a.m., at the parish church of his hometown of Sedilo. His passing marks the end of a chapter in the history of Bosa and the Planargia region, which is inextricably linked to him. He arrived as a seminarian and after being ordained a priest in 1966, with his pastoral mission divided equally between Trenuraghes and Bosa. Until recently, he was still a collaborator in the parishes of Maria Immacolata and Sacro Cuore.

He is also widely recognized as an educator, athlete, communicator, and, above all, a man of solidarity and dialogue. In 1970, together with a group of friends, he founded the glorious Calmedia club, of which he was also captain. He is deeply moved by the memory of the current president of Calmedia, Tore Marche, a lifelong friend, to whom he extends words of respect and gratitude. "Don Paolino," Marche states, "was a point of reference for so many young people and families who attended the Capuchin oratory. A person they could turn to for any kind of problem. He was a brother, a parent, and a friend. His teachings will remain indelibly engraved in the personal histories of so many of us."

In 1979 he also founded Radio Planargia, inaugurating a new way of communicating, becoming one of its cornerstones, hosting highly followed and appreciated programs.
