They were caught with over a kilo of marijuana divided into 21 packages: three young men from Bosa, aged 25, 20 and 19, were arrested by the Carabinieri at the end of an anti-drug operation.

The operation was launched as part of targeted checks in the area. In recent days, the Carabinieri officers noticed an unusual influx of people moving around a peripheral area of the town, where numerous second homes are currently unoccupied by their owners, who are staying in other towns on the island and the mainland. Their attention was focused on a vacant house in particular.

Having determined that people were in the house, and that they were not the owners, the Carabinieri, with the support of reinforcements, surrounded the residence. During the operation, one of the men attempted to get rid of the drugs by throwing a sports backpack from the balcony. Inside, they found a large quantity of marijuana divided into 21 cellophane bags. Their attempt to escape through a secondary exit was unsuccessful; they were stopped by the officers outside. A subsequent search of the house revealed and seized precision scales, packaging materials, and other loose drugs.
