Yesterday, April 17, early afternoon, Carabinieri officers from the Bonorva Company and the Giave Station assisted a citizen who had lost his wallet.
The incident began when the man contacted the Bonorva Company's Operations Center to report the loss of his wallet, which contained personal documents, cash, and a smart card equipped with a GPS tracking system.
Using a technological device, the wallet was located in the Borutta area, specifically in San Pietro di Sorres, near the abbey.
The dispatcher then coordinated the response, dispatching officers from the Giave Carabinieri Station to the scene. Upon arriving in the designated area, they immediately began an investigation, which led to the identification and recovery of the missing items.
After verifying the integrity of the contents, the military proceeded to return what was found to its rightful owner.
