The Forestry Corps resumed its cleanup efforts in the early hours of the morning following the fire that broke out last night in the municipality of Bonorva, in the Serra Iscobas area.
A patrol is intervening with manual means and with the aid of pickup trucks equipped with AIB modules throughout the perimeter of the burned area to prevent reignition.
The operation, they say, is hampered by the lack of roads and the terrain . After assessing the situation, assistance was requested from a helicopter from the Anela operations base.
