Fear erupted last night in Bono after a fire broke out inside a house.

The local firefighters responded to Via Fara at 3:15 a.m. The blaze was extinguished before the flames reached the gas system, thus averting further damage.

The three residents of the house managed to escape before the fire spread and were entrusted to the care of 118 emergency responders.

Following the cleanup, investigations were initiated to determine the cause: the flames started from one of the kitchen appliances.

The Carabinieri were also on site.
