Tragedy in Bono, where one person died and one was seriously injured following a collapse inside the garage of a house on Via Guido Rossa.

According to initial reports , Giovanni Antonio Solinas, who will turn 82 in four days, and his son Luigi, 41, were repairing a wall that had been damaged by heavy rains on Sunday when the structure collapsed and overwhelmed them.

The younger of the two lost his life, after resuscitation attempts proved futile.

The elderly father was transferred by air ambulance to San Francesco in Nuoro.
