Serious boat accident during an excursion to the La Maddalena islands.

A three-year-old boy was injured in his hand, also suffering the partial detachment of a phalanx of a finger , while he was with his parents on an excursion boat.

The accident occurred this morning, the little boy was rescued by the La Maddalena Coast Guard, alerted by telephone around 11.30. He risks losing a finger .

A patrol boat with 118 medical personnel on board immediately reached the boat, which was located on the island of Santa Maria, in the Porto della Madonna area. The doctors immediately provided initial treatment to the child who was then accompanied with his parents to the port of La Maddalena and then to the emergency room.

The dynamics of the accident are yet to be clarified .
