Green light from Egas to the two executive projects for the reconstruction of about 4 km of both water and sewage pipelines in the town of Bitti , already in critical condition and seriously compromised by the flood that occurred on November 28, 2020 .

The total investment is over 3.9 million euros to be paid by the RAS, financed with the fund for national emergencies as part of the urgent intervention plan.

For the interventions that will specifically concern the sewage system, 2 million 930 thousand euros are foreseen and will be used to replace 2.4 km of old collectors and the reconstruction of the connections .

The urban sewage network of the municipality of Bitti currently presents a high degree of dilapidation subject to continuous losses, worsened following the flood, and with a constant need for repairs.

The works approved by Egas will mainly concern the historic center and some peripheral areas and the streets involved will be via Monte Zebio, via Arborea, via Nino Bixio, via Brescia, Corso Vittorio Veneto and districts, via Tolmino, via Oslavia, via Brigata Reggio, via Brigata Sassari, via Trento, via Papa Giovanni XXIII, via Sa Pineta, via Mameli, via Sicilia, via Roma, via Marconi, via Cavallotti, piazza Asproni, via Deffenu.

On the other hand, 1 million and 43 thousand euros will be invested for the redevelopment of the water pipes, which will be used to replace 1,462 meters of old pipes .

Based on the technical assessments contained in the project, the network is characterized by highly critical situations due to the precarious conditions of the main pipes and connections, which are obsolete and whose conditions have worsened after the events of November 2020.
The interventions will be mainly concentrated in the historic centre, in the area of via Cavallotti, the artisan area and the recently urbanized area located in the north of the town and precisely in via Dore.

The works will be useful not only to improve the water service and therefore the flow of water to the houses, but also to limit the inconvenience in the event of maintenance and interventions by the sole manager: in fact, the number of gate valves will also be implemented which will allow greater control over the network and will therefore allow, in the event of an intervention, to shut off the water supply exclusively where it is needed and not in very large portions without there being a need and as, however, has occurred up to now.

The works envisaged in this project will specifically concern via Brigata Reggio, via Dalmazia, via Tolmino, via Roma, via Nuoro, via Mameli, via Marconi, vicolo Marconi, via Trento, via Cavallotti, via Montanara, Loc. Lampione, via Pau, Trav. S'arginamentu, via Dore.
