Officially a pair of skilled cork extractors, investigators believe they are two extremely dangerous bandits capable of anything: robberies, ATM robberies, kidnappings, and even murder. Salvatore Saba, 41, and Andrea Secchi, 34, both from Bitti, are the heart and mind of the group arrested at dawn yesterday in the operation conducted by the Carabinieri between Bitti, Buddusò, and Calangianus.

The two ended up in prison as the perpetrators of the assault on the Bitti ATM on September 2nd .

Also in jail is Diego Orunesu, 60, defended by Sebastiano Tola. Orunesu's situation is more modest: he is charged with possession of a rifle and aiding and abetting by providing the vehicle used to escape after the robbery.

During inspections and searches as part of the operation , Marco Ricciu was also arrested: he had weapons in his home.
