A raid along the coast between Villasimius and Muravera was conducted to verify compliance with regulations regarding state maritime concessions, environmental protection, and bathing safety.
The inspection, according to a statement from the Forestry Corps, identified numerous violations of bathing ordinances. A total of twelve administrative fines were imposed, totaling more than fifteen thousand euros.
The violations involved beach businesses holding state-owned concessions and included, in particular, beach occupation beyond permitted limits, failure to respect the distances between establishments, and positioning umbrellas too close to the shoreline (beyond the five-meter buffer zone).
And also the positioning of equipment near the dunes, the lack of access walkways for the disabled, the mooring of boats in prohibited areas and the lack of additional lifeguard towers.
