They were stopped on the dunes of Planargia beach. Agents of the municipal police of Bari Sardo and the forestry of Tortolì fined two campers, both Italian (one Sardinian) with fines of 200 euros.

In front of the police forces they justified themselves by declaring that they had done it because they were in possession of a lot of luggage. It was not enough to avoid the fines issued by the municipal police officers, under the command of Adriana Prunas, in collaboration with the Forestry rangers, led by senior inspector Giorgio Usai. In the joint operation, carried out in the last few days, the inspectors also fined three foreign citizens for illegal camping in Punta Niedda.

For each of them a fine of 93 euros. "These are effective control operations to protect the environmental heritage and in particular the protected areas behind the dunes. An excellent example of collaboration between the Municipal Police and the Forestry Corps to protect our coasts and beyond", said the mayor of Bari Sardo, Ivan Mameli.
