A man is accused of attempted murder after allegedly stabbing a 42-year-old man with scissors, causing abdominal injuries, during a fight near a bar in Pietraia, Alghero.

The victim is currently hospitalized in intensive care, with a critical prognosis. The alleged attacker was identified by officers from the Alghero Police Station and reported to the judicial authorities.

The incident occurred on Sunday night near a club in the working-class neighborhood. According to investigators, a violent argument broke out between the two men, which escalated when one of the men pulled out a pair of scissors and stabbed the other man several times in the abdomen.

The injured man was rushed to Alghero Civil Hospital , where he remains in serious condition. Police arrived immediately, conducting initial investigations at the scene of the attack and collecting testimonies from those present.

The investigation, conducted in close collaboration with the Judicial Police officers at the Police Station, continued uninterrupted throughout the night. Through interviews with witnesses, investigative evidence, and intensive patrols, the officers were able to reconstruct the dynamics of the attack and track down the alleged perpetrator in the early hours of the morning.
