When you bring your work to Bancali, too. Last year, a man entered the Sassari prison, where he was serving a sentence, carrying a trolley containing his personal belongings.
But among these were not only clothes, underwear, or other harmless objects. The prison officers were greatly surprised when they searched the suitcase and found a 34-cm-long knife inside. A real weapon, at least in a prison, and the new inmate was questioned about it.
"I'm a cook and I need a knife in the kitchen," the man replied. "An unlikely version," prosecutor Alessia Sanna declared yesterday in court in Sassari during arguments, requesting a four-month prison sentence for the defendant, represented by attorney Massimiliano Tore. Judge Stefania Mosca-Angelucci sentenced the man to a €400 fine.
