An autopsy will be performed tomorrow in Sassari on the body of the 9-year-old Norwegian boy, who died Tuesday at a resort in Santa Teresa Gallura. Tempio Pausania prosecutor Sara Martino has opened an investigation into the boy's death and ordered a thorough investigation into the tragedy.

The autopsy on the child's body isn't the only action ordered by the magistrate. The Carabinieri interviewed again at length the doctor on duty at the Valle dell'Erica resort, the specialist who provides medical care to guests at the facility and who has examined the child several times since his arrival at the tourist complex. According to the findings of the judicial police, the child had been unwell since his departure from Oslo a week ago. The magistrate has requested a thorough medical examination from the coroner to determine the cause of the cardiac arrest detected by the young victim's paramedics.
