The Plastic Free association has started preparations to give life to a new ecological day which aims to involve citizens in the cleaning operations in the green park of Santa Mariedda. The initiative will therefore be repeated which, already in previous editions, thanks to the active participation and commitment of Senorbì volunteers, had served to eliminate plastic from the park located at the foot of the small country church dedicated to the cult of Santa Maria della Neve.

«We will spend a new morning together to clean up our park from plastic», says Giulia Caredda, representative of the non-profit association Plastic Free founded in 2019 to raise people's awareness of the dangers of plastic pollution, in particular single-use plastic. Plastic Free Onlus, with more than 1,000 representatives throughout Italy, is now the most important and concrete association on this topic.

The initiative sponsored by the Municipality will be held on Saturday 20 April, starting at 4pm (meeting point: at the foot of the Santa Mariedda square). To participate, simply register by scanning the QR Code on the poster promoting the Ecological Day. The aim of the organizers is to raise awareness among the population of the importance of environmental protection and to inform as many people as possible, in particular about the dangers of plastic pollution.
