On November 15th and 16th, Autunno in Barbagia stops in Nuoro and Tiana. In Nuoro, with Mastros in Nùgoro, and in Tiana, with Knowledge and Flavors of Tradition. The weekend will be dedicated to know-how, art, and collective memory, where towns will open their shops, museums, and ancient courtyards to welcome visitors in a shared narrative of culture and identity. The Autunno in Barbagia 2025 program continues on November 22nd and 23rd with stops in Atzara and Ollolai.
Nuoro, Mastros in Nùgoro – Nuoro, the capital of Barbagia, is transformed into a vast open-air workshop, where art, craftsmanship, and music meet. The courtyards and butecas will host exhibitions, workshops, and live demonstrations, including woodworking and ironwork, accompanied by concerts, food tours, and special openings of the city's museums, such as the MAN Museum and the Deleddiano Museum, which will host special exhibitions and activities for the occasion. The heart of the event will be the historic Santu Predu neighborhood, where streets and churches will host musical tours called Coros in Cresia and Addobiu de Tenores, along with the workshops and artisan workshops that bring the Mastros in Nùgoro project to life.
Tiana, Traditional Knowledge and Flavors – Tiana, a small village nestled at the foot of the Gennargentu, preserves a unique heritage of industrial archaeology and artisanal traditions. The trail between Su Molinu de Su Monzu and Sa Cracchera de tziu Bellu will allow visitors to rediscover ancient crafts related to water, weaving, and the production of coarse wool, through workshops and demonstrations open to the entire community. There will also be exhibitions, displays, and tastings of typical products, from local beans to sa pitzuda cun gherdas, in a journey that combines nature, history, and conviviality.
Agostino Cicalò, President of the Nuoro Chamber of Commerce, says: "Nuoro and Tiana embody two examples of communities that use culture and craftsmanship as drivers of growth. From the urban center that fosters innovation and creativity to the small community that preserves ancient crafts, the common thread remains the same: enhancing the local area through hard work, quality, and cooperation." ASPEN President Roberto Cadeddu adds: "Autumn in Barbagia is a continuous story of people and territories. In Nuoro and Tiana, you can breathe in the most authentic Sardinia: in the workshops, museums, and squares that fill with sounds and stories. It is this intertwining of tradition and participation that gives strength to the circuit and makes it more vibrant every year."
